Bastardization

I understand that artists work hard using the creative process to bring forth art, but I enjoy others taking that art and 6 million dollar man it. I'm speaking of mashups and loungified music. I was listening to WEQX this morning and they have a new contest: Name That Tune, it's loungified rock/alt. music. It was by Paul Anka and he has a new gimmick to sell some records, he loungified a bunch of songs for his new CD, Rock, Swings. It is being released this month and I'm absolutely grabbing myself a copy when it's on Amazon.com. Also, Dick Cheese has a new album out, "Aperitif for Destruction", which I just bought on a lark on Amazon.
