Attention grabber

I find that one of the most frustating things of my position is being surrounded by characters of the annoying stature. The woman on the other side of my cubicle has this overwhelming desire for attention; subsequently my heart palpitates as I pass by her desk in fear of being tagged to look at some pictures, or wares of her recent purchase, or her homemade photo albums.

Monday morning, I walk into work with the keys of my new car in hand happily knowing that nothing could ruin the day. About an hour into work I was being shown the powerpoint presentation her daughter (age 12) put together on Finland for school. Complete with all the annoying bells and whistles Microsoft hopes its consumers use, I was in hell at this gaudy auditory & visual presentation. Finally, Finland's currency, where the girl four pictures of the front and back of two bills. One of the bills had Santa Claus on it, the other, the Statue of Liberty. The SoL tipped me off as that the bills were erroneous, let alone the fact that Finland is apart of the European Union therefore using the Euro as their currency.

The moral of the story is, that although sometimes I love help people by correcting their mistakes before they're public, I remained quiet. I just get so irritated sometimes dealing with this person. I didn't go flaunty pictures of my new car to everyone, nor did I show off my new digital camera. Oh yeah, btw, I have a new digital camera.

I think it's so hot when my girlfriend uses four syllable words. Congratulations as well!

I'm trying to think of a nice way you could brush her off, but I don't have one. I got dragged into a 25 minute conversation with a lonely old woman when I was trying to usher her out of the video store after closing because I was too polite to tell her "Ok! Thanks buh bye! Gotta go! Can't talk anymore!" :P
