Car cookies year two

Today being one of the hottest days thus far of the Africa weather streak, it was suggested that today shall be the day to bake cookies in my car. Last year I found out about this and attempted it to no avail, either it didn't get as hot as it was supposed to or it thunderstormed. Today, however, was the perfect day: 95 degrees out, mostly sunny, it was like an oven in my car literally.

During my lunch hour, I went to the market, bought the tin foil, the package of chocolate chip cookie dough, and a black poster board to further harnass the power of radiation in my car. At one o'clock the cookies went in. I checked on them around 2:30 and they were spreading out and rising. At 3:30 they're still looking not done, but they're at least crispy on the outside. The last attemp I'll make is at 4:15 before actually leaving at 4:30.

Just a note for further testing, let the cookie dough get to around room temperature, it'll help the baking along. Also, stick them in the car at around 10-11 so that it gets more of the sun rather at one. The next time I bake cookies, I'm going to try and buy them the night before so I'll have enough time for proper baking.

Also, I got a present today from Kris! He bought me The Books of Magic by Gaiman, what an incredible sweetie. I was skimming through it and the art is absolutely amazing and really interesting to see the varying styles throughout the miniseries.

They didn't come out as well as I had hoped, placing them in around 1pm is a bad idea. I missed two hours of prime sun time. So I'll have to attempt this again when the weather is unbearable.

Thankfully that won't be for a while.
